Together against violence against women: Umicore sponsors the 2026 Hanau City Run

For 25 years now, the Hanau City Run has stood for solidarity and social cohesion. In 2026, Umicore will once again step up as a reliable partner and support the City of Hanau’s charity event for the 15th consecutive year with a donation of 10,000 euros.

As in previous years, all proceeds will go to the women’s shelters in Hanau and Wächtersbach. These shelters provide vital support to women affected by violence, offering protection and hope in difficult life situations.

Every year, the Hanau City Run brings together numerous participants who join forces to send a visible message against violence against women. The event helps bring an important social issue to the public’s attention and raise awareness.

During a photo op in May, Dr. Bernhard Fuchs presented the symbolic donation check on behalf of Umicore at Hanau’s market square.
