Eight apprentices successfully complete their training

At the end of July, the time had come once again. During a festive ceremony at the Wolfgang Industrial Park, eight Umicore apprentices received their diplomas, along with plenty of praise and recognition from their instructors. One industrial mechanic, two female chemical laboratory technicians, two male chemical laboratory technicians, two female chemical process technicians, and one male chemical process technician now hold their diplomas in hand. The circular materials technology company Umicore offered all eight graduates an employment contract for their further professional development.

“We are very pleased that our trainees have laid such an important foundation for their future by successfully completing their training,” says Sandra Müller, Training Coordinator at Umicore. “But we are especially proud that six of the eight graduates accepted our offer of an employment contract, and we have now been able to recruit an industrial mechanic, a female chemical laboratory technician, a male chemical laboratory technician, two female chemical technicians, and one male chemical technician for our teams at Umicore. We had to let only two of them go, as they wish to pursue a career closer to home or begin a college degree.”

f.l.t.r. (all Umicore): Sandra Müller (Apprenticeship Coordinator), Janina Jezierski, Esra Kartal (Apprentices), Carsten Neumann (HR Manager), Felix Sternheimer, Felix Kratz, Kim Wenzel (Apprentices). Ridwaan Adde, Eva Attenhauser, and Henrik Kappes are absent.
