More than a technology leader in precious metals

Umicore is a global advanced materials and recycling group with extensive expertise in materials science, metallurgy, chemistry, and metals management. In Germany, Umicore employs over 1,700 people across five sites and operates nine business units.

Hanau

Umicore’s largest site in Germany is located in the Hanau-Wolfgang Industrial Park. More than 900 employees at Umicore AG & Co. KG are engaged in research and development of products containing precious and special metals, bringing together extensive expertise in Hanau for customers in the automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical, glass, and fertilizer industries. A total of seven business units are active at this location, with some managing their global operations from Hanau. Additionally, this site is one of Umicore’s main research hubs, with a focus on clean technologies.
