Umicore apprentices in Hanau start their careers after successfully completing their apprenticeship
Two top grades and strong performance from the young professionals
Seven apprentices at Umicore have successfully completed their apprenticeship. On July 3, 2026, Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, Board Member of Umicore AG & Co. KG, personally congratulated them during a ceremonial event at the Hanau Industrial Park and presented them with their final certificates.
The newly qualified professionals include two industrial clerks, two chemical laboratory technicians, and three chemical process technicians, several of whom completed their apprenticeship ahead of schedule. Particularly noteworthy is that two of the chemical laboratory technicians graduated with the top grade of 1. In recognition of this outstanding achievement, the two received a gold bar from Umicore.
The graduates are now looking ahead to diverse and exciting career prospects. The majority will continue their professional careers at Umicore, while some are pursuing new career paths.
“Year after year, our apprentices demonstrate the dedication and ambition with which they pursue their goals. We are proud of their achievements and delighted that some of them will continue their career path with Umicore,” said Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, Board Member of Umicore AG & Co. KG.
