Can you describe your role/position at Umicore?

I am a trainee in my first year of apprenticeship and I am employed in the logistic department. My areas of responsibility vary between packing, incoming goods, outgoing goods and internal transportation.

What do you like about your job?

I enjoy my work because I always have new challenges that I need to overcome.

What do you like about working at Umicore?

You always have a team behind you that supports you as a trainee in the best way.

Why did you want to work at Umicore?

Because Umicore is a global company based in the region, which means you have a secured job.

What do you look forward to when you set off to work in the morning?

In any case to the colleagues and the varied work.

What has been the highlight of your time at Umicore so far?

My highlight so far was the Umicore trainee event, where all Umicore trainees from Hanau spent an afternoon together.

Any advice for newcomers?

You should be open and willing to learn and be able to think in different directions, the rest comes by itself and you are quickly integrated into the team.
