We work together closely with Evonik, a world-leading company for special chemicals, to provide training. Here, Umicore purchases training as a service from Evonik. The clear advantage of this model is the possibility of using Evonik's excellent infrastructure such as training workshops and laboratories, as well as the know-how of the company and its trainers. Evonik also assumes the preselection and communication with external contact persons such as vocational schools and the German Chamber of Commerce. A training contract then comes about between Umicore and the trainee.

No, one application is enough. After that, the applicant is automatically included in the selection procedure of the other company.

We see training as a social responsibility and often train beyond what is needed. Our general objective, however, is assumption of the trainee after professional training is completed.

From the first day on, our trainees profit from a versatile further education offering. In addition to the profession-specific seminars, there are additional seminar offerings that you can visit.

Yes, in case of very good performance, it is possible to take the test early.

Ideally, you should send us your documents during the summer holiday of the year before you wish to start training; for example, to start training in 2021, apply in the summer of 2020.
