Umicore honors long-serving employees

12 employees at the Hanau Site celebrate a combined 360 years of company loyalty

In a festive gathering at the Brockenhaus in Hanau-Lamboy, Umicore honored 12 employees for their long-standing loyalty and exceptional commitment. Together, the honorees bring an impressive 360 years of service – four celebrating their 40th anniversary and eight their 25th. This milestone reflects both continuity and experience on the one hand, and adaptability and lifelong learning on the other.

In his address, Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, Managing Director of Umicore AG & Co. KG, praised the achievements of the honorees, whose knowledge, loyalty, and dedication have significantly contributed to the company’s success. The celebration provided space for personal reflections, emotional moments, and numerous anecdotes from four decades of company history.

“Our honorees are the foundation of our success,” emphasized Dr. Fuchs. “Your commitment, knowledge, and loyalty are invaluable, especially in times of change.”

Musical performances, a festive dinner, and personal stories from several decades rounded off the evening. The honorees looked back on their professional milestones together with colleagues – from the early days in the 1980s to the challenges and successes of today.

As a token of appreciation, the honorees received a gold bar. With this recognition, Umicore once again underscores the importance of appreciation and solidarity within the company.
