Umicore supports the Hanau Sustainability Award 2024 – registration phase has begun
The City of Hanau Sustainability Award recognizes activities, creative ideas, and projects that make a valuable contribution to the sustainable improvement of the world. Since its introduction eight years ago by the Environmental Center and the Hanau Sustainability Network, the award has been supported by Umicore as its main sponsor. This year, prizes worth a total of €9,000 will once again be awarded to the most creative minds. Initiatives, schools, associations, and companies, as well as private individuals, can apply with their ideas and projects for sustainability in everyday life from now until May 26, 2024.
There are several categories in which projects can be awarded. Associations, companies, schools, and other committed individuals who have not yet been able to implement a sustainable idea due to a lack of funding can apply for the jury prize. A jury evaluates the three best projects, which are then awarded prize money. The audience award recognizes sustainable initiatives that have already been implemented, with voting taking place online. The Media/Creative Award rewards creative approaches to presenting sustainability, also through online voting. The Garden Award also offers people with a garden or balcony the opportunity to showcase and present their natural oases.
The Hanau Sustainability Award 2024 is committed to promoting awareness of sustainability and encouraging people to make a positive contribution to the environment.
