Umicore Signs the Diversity Charter – Promoting Diversity in the Workplace

Regional website Germany

Diversity of talent and an inclusive work environment have been key factors in Umicore’s success for many years. That is why the company signed the Diversity Charter on International Women’s Day, thereby sending another strong signal in support of diversity and tolerance in the workplace.

“By signing the Diversity Charter today, we are reinforcing our existing commitment and aim to send a clear message both to our employees and to the public. Together, we are creating a work environment that is free of prejudice and offers equal opportunities to everyone,” explains Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, CEO of Umicore AG & Co. KG.

Katharina Kerl, Talent Development Manager at Umicore, adds: “We are continuing on our chosen path and, by signing the Charter, are demonstrating that the topics of diversity and inclusion are important to us. In addition to our internal D&I policy and our diverse activities, we want to demonstrate both internally and externally what we stand for as a company. And that makes me personally very happy.”

Following Umicore’s signing of the Diversity Charter, the next step will be its countersigning by the Federal Chancellery.
