Umicore employees celebrating their anniversaries look back on a combined 570 years of service

Employees at the Hanau site honored for their loyalty to the company

During a festive event, the circular materials technology group Umicore honored a total of 18 employees for their decades of loyalty and commitment. A celebratory program featuring a look back at their shared history, the honoring of the jubilarians, and fascinating magic tricks awaited the invited guests at the historic Brockenhaus in Hanau Lamboy.

Umicore traditionally celebrates 25 and 40 years of service. Together, this year's jubilarians can look back on an impressive 570 years with the company. Among those honored was Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, CEO of Umicore AG & Co. KG, who gave the keynote speech and also celebrated his own 25th anniversary. In a sometimes very personal and moving review, Dr. Fuchs looked back on their time together and recalled significant moments from 25 and 40 years ago. He expressed his particular gratitude to the jubilarians and their families for their decades of support for the company. “Your loyalty and commitment over many years are the foundation of our success. Together, we have achieved numerous milestones over the past decades, and I look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with you.”

Honor and entertainment 

The evening program followed a well-established tradition: after Dr. Fuchs' speech, ten employees were honored for their 25 years of service and eight others for their 40 years of service. Historical photographs from the working life of the past four decades and a musical retrospective also contributed to the good mood. The guests then enjoyed a festive dinner before a well-known magician enchanted them with his fascinating tricks.
