Umicore apprentices celebrate successful completion of their apprenticeship

Regional website Germany

Five apprentices at Umicore, a circular materials technology company, had an important reason to celebrate today. An industrial clerk, a chemical technician, and three chemical laboratory assistants proudly received their diplomas during a ceremony at the Wolfgang Industrial Park. This officially laid the foundation for their future careers. Particularly impressive: three of the five graduates were able to take their exams early and achieved top marks.

The training class was characterized by a high willingness to learn, outstanding commitment, and creativity. In addition to their subject-specific training content, the colleagues learned a lot about project management as part of a film project: from the idea to implementation to post-production, they were responsible as a team for creating a video about the apprenticeship at Umicore. They also presented Umicore as an attractive employer and training company to interested visitors at trade fairs and events.

“We are proud of the outstanding achievements of our apprentices and are delighted to have been able to accompany them on their way to their professional future. Their successful graduations reflect their high level of personal commitment, and we are pleased that we were able to enrich their professional development with the diversity of our training program,” said Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, CEO of Umicore AG & Co. KG.
