Hanau City Run 2023: Umicore employees run for a good cause

On September 15, 2023, 53 Umicore employees took part in the Hanau City Run. At 5 p.m. sharp, the starting signal was given for over 2,000 participants who took part in the charity run to take a stand against violence against women. The proceeds from the run will again benefit women's shelters in Hanau and Wächtersbach this year.

The runners covered a total of six kilometers through downtown Hanau for a good cause. Whether running, walking, or jogging, everyone pursued the goal of helping people in need. Umicore was represented this year by 53 employees, some of whom were able to improve their personal best times compared to last year, while others were participating for the first time.

As one of the main sponsors of the charity event, Umicore donated €10,000 to the Hanau City Run again this year. The materials technology company is particularly committed to social engagement in the region. The City Run is a wonderful opportunity each year to make a positive contribution to the region around the Hanau site.
