Franziska Brantner visits Umicore in Hanau

Last week, Franziska Brantner, Federal Chair of Alliance 90/The Greens, visited Umicore. She was accompanied by Julia Frank, State Chair of The Greens in Hesse; Mahwish Iftikhar, lead candidate for the district council election in the Main-Kinzig district; Angelika Gunkel and Stefan Weiß, lead candidates for the Hanau city council; as well as Sascha Feldes, candidate for Mayor of Hanau.

The visit focused on sustainable production processes, advanced recycling technologies, and innovative approaches in materials management. Dr. Bernhard Fuchs, CEO of Umicore AG & Co. KG, presented the company, explained key technologies, and provided insights into its sustainability strategy. Recycling, circular economy solutions, and the development of technological innovations are among Umicore’s core competencies.

Franziska Brantner emphasized: “Companies like Umicore demonstrate that economic success and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Sustainable innovation is a key component of future-proof value creation.”
