2021 Hanau City Run: We were there!

69 Umicore employees joined forces to take a stand against violence against women

This year, the Hanau City Run took place on September 17, 2021, for the second time as a decentralized, virtual event. Under the motto “No matter where, no matter how far!”, 69 Umicore colleagues took on this challenge and completed a route of their own choosing—alone, in pairs, or in small groups—while adhering to the currently applicable social distancing and hygiene regulations. It didn’t matter whether they ran or simply walked the route. After all, everyone shared a common goal: to use this run to take a stand against violence against women.

For the eleventh time, Umicore supported the Hanau City Run with a donation of 10,000 euros, making it one of the most important sponsors of this charity event. The sponsorship funds and proceeds from the entry fees go to the women’s shelters in the Main-Kinzig district in Hanau and Wächtersbach.
